FREEZING SYSTEMS

These systems have been designed in order to reduce cooling times in blow moulding.

FROZEN AIR IS THE CHEAPEST REFRIGERANT GAS

With compressed air 7 – 10 bars , Freezing systems deliver extremely dry air at a very low temperature.

Freezing systems increase capacity of blow mouldind.

Freezing systems reduce stress in the material

INCREASE IN PRODUCTIVITY ALLOWS A QUICK PAY BACK

  • Outlet temperature: max -42°C

Frozen air drain heat directly from inside the piece

Example:
A freezing system evacuates 20% of the total heat from the inner part of the piece.
It also move the thermal center 20% nearer the mould.
Result: The mould evacuate only 80% of the heat from a distance 20% shorter.

Theorical gain:  1 – ( 0.8 )²  = 0.36 = 36% gain

The practical gain is less important : The cooling time is not the total time cycle of the machine
The real gain depends on various parameters and usualy reaches 15 to 30%
